This month, we are thrilled to bring you the first sustainable children’s collection with brand new eco-designs from Rock Star made with marine waste plastic.
Plastic has become a symbol of throwaway culture in the modern world due to its cheap, easy-to-make and disposable nature. As a result, it is estimated that 8 million tonnes of plastic enter the ocean annually, having drastic effects on marine animals and biodiversity. Children are more aware than ever of our responsibility to protect the planet. So, it’s never been a better time to introduce sustainable materials into our market-leading kids range.
The new releases see our portfolio expand with 12 new sustainable models in fun and fresh colours that kids will love;
Beluga
With a smart rectangular eyeshape and colourways inspired by sea and sky, Beluga is composed of recycled sea bottles, giving new life to both plastic and the ocean. C1 is an easy-to-wear black eyefront with contrasting green temples. With C2 offered in a navy eyefront with sky blue temples.
Bluefin
Appealing to wearers that want fashion and sustainability in the same frame. C1 is a bold red with rosy, pink temples and C2 is a deep navy with uplifting teal temples.
Catshark
Designed to inspire new perspectives and spark confidence, Catshark’s vivid two-tone design continues the fun fusion of colours synonymous with the Rock Star collection. C1 is a fun combination of red with purple temples. While C2 is a purple eyefront paired with uplifting blue temples.
Dugong
A unisex offering within the ground-breaking Rock Star sea-bottle collection, Dugong is the perfect choice for young eco-warriors. C1 is a bright purple with vivid teal temple detailing. While C2 is a bottle green with black temple detailing.
Narwhal
Appealing to young imaginations, Narwhal features a fun pop of colour on the temples that works perfectly with recycled ocean plastic. C1 is a trend-led grey with blue detailing on the temple. While C2 is a cool khaki with energetic green detailing on the temples.
Porpoise
With playful references to retro styleing, Porpoise is a gender-neutral, sustainable round-eye design utilising flexible and durable materials to elevate its suitability. C1 is a playful pairing of matt pink with purple temples. While C2 comprises a cool tortoiseshell eyefront with deep blue temples.
